About

A t Brenn Institute, our focus is on providing well-supported treatment to our clients in order to afford them the best possible chance at overcoming their addiction. Substance abuse may be one of the most difficult challenges our clients face during their lives, but at Brenn Institute, we’re committed to providing them with the tools they need to overcome addiction. Don’t waste another day of your life trying to feed that monkey on your back: instead, consider enrolling in our addiction recovery program to get the tools you need to defeat substance abuse.

We begin with supervised detoxification. Detox is the process through which your body gets rid of any toxins that the substance abuse might have left behind. When your body has become dependent on a particular substance, cessation of use may result in symptoms of withdrawal. These symptoms are often uncomfortable, and in some circumstances, they can even prove to be dangerous. Fortunately, at Brenn Institute, we ensure that detox only occurs under supervision from our friendly and well-trained staff. Not only will we ensure that your discomfort is mitigated as much as possible, you can also be assured that your safety will always be ensured.

We also offer dual diagnosis mental health treatment to those clients in need of it. When a client is struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder alongside their addiction, simply treating the addiction will often prove insufficient to provide long-term recovery. When the co-occurring disorder goes untreated, it becomes increasingly likely that the client will return to substance abuse after leaving the addiction recovery facility. This is because, in some instances, substance abuse may occur due to an attempt to self-medicate a co-occurring condition. If the co-occurring disorder remains untreated, even though a person may have received treatment for addiction recovery, that person might not be able to maintain their recovery with the symptoms of the disorder present.

One of the most important aspects of the Brenn Institute addiction recovery program is aftercare services. The battle against addiction does not end when you graduate from Brenn Institute. Once you’ve left the comfort of our facility and entered the outside world, you may find yourself beset by temptation. However, with the benefit of a customized aftercare plan, we can afford our clients a much better likelihood of recovery. The variables in each aftercare plan will vary, since just like every other aspect of our program, our aftercare plans are customized for the individual.

Frequently Asked Questions

1What is dual diagnosis?
Dual diagnosis is when a person is suffering with both a drug addiction and a mental illness. It is absolutely imperative to treat your overall mental health, not just the physical symptoms. Nearly half the people with an addiction suffer with a dual diagnosis. To eliminate the addiction, dual diagnosis screening is necessary.
2How long does treatment last?
It depends on the person, their situation, and their drug of choice. Addiction recovery lasts for years, but treatment at Brenn Institute usually lasts between 30 and 90 days. Depending on the circumstances, you will be treated for a period in between one and three months and be sent on your way with a comprehensive addiction treatment plan.
3Do I have to attend group therapy?
Yes. Group meetings are essential to everyone’s recovery. We ask that you attend meetings and try your best to speak as much as possible. We have a policy of complete and total honesty. If you are not open and transparent our specialists and clients won’t know how to help you.
4Do you have a structured treatment plan?
We have a structure that all programs are built upon, but each recovery plan is dictated and designed around each individual client’s needs and the requirements of their situation. You can expect to receive individual attention and intimate treatment based upon you.
